Earlier in the playoffs against the Brooklyn Nets, Tatum delivered an epic buzzer-beater in Game 1 of that series in a hotly contested back and forth matchup. So far in his young NBA career, the former Duke star has been named a NBA All-Star three times (2020, 2021, and 2022).
This season, Tatum has once again demonstrated that he’s one of the most complete players in the league — stuffing the stat sheet with 26.9 points per game, 8.0 rebounds per game, and 4.4 assists per game.
Coming out of high school, he was one of the most highly touted prospects in America and he’s lived up to that lofty billing at every level of basketball. According to the On3 Consensus Rankings for the 2016 cycle, Tatum was ranked as the No. 9 overall prospect in America and he earned a five-star rating. He was tabbed as a McDonald’s All-American coming out of Chaminade College Prep (Creve Coeur, Missouri) and also earned the prestigious award of the 2016 Gatorade National Player of the Year.
