Jon Scheyer reveals his favorite Cooper Flagg commercial is AT&T BINGO

Commercials featuring college basketball players have taken over television screens since the start of March Madness, which some of the biggest stars of the sport have cashed in on. Duke‘s Cooper Flagg is no different, starring in advertisements and collaborating with the likes of New Balance and Gatorade, among others.
However, to his head coach Jon Scheyer, the Blue Devils superstar’s performance in his AT&T commercial is his favorite. The 30-second set showcases Flagg and ultra competitiveness while playing BINGO.
“I think the bingo one was great acting,” Scheyer said ahead of the Final Four. “You see his mammy (grandmother) in there. I thought it was a pretty good job by him. Frankly, our guys have done a great job. Once the tournament started, they haven’t done a lot of NIL stuff. They did it earlier in the year. They’ve been locked into this once-in-a-lifetime chance we have here.”
The cameo by Flagg’s mammy was one of the highlights of the commercial. After Flagg erupts out of his chair exclaiming, “BINGO!” she tells him to go shake everyone’s hands. “Yes, mammy,” Flagg responds.
To add a bit of extra humor to the commercial, Flagg appeared to be covered in sweat as if he had just finished playing in a basketball game. It also ties into the hydration issues Flagg experienced at the beginning of his true freshman season, which the Duke sports medicine team went on to create a special hydration drink for the Blue Devils’ superstar.

The commercial with AT&T is one of many opportunities that NIL has presented Flagg. He currently ranks second across all college athletics with a $4.8 million On3 NIL Valuation. Flagg is second only to Texas quarterback Arch Manning ($6.5 million).
However, by most accounts, it appears that Flagg’s time at the college level is almost up considering he’s expected to be the No. 1 overall pick in this summer’s 2025 NBA Draft. Despite likely only residing in Durham for less than one calendar year, he’s certainly left his mark on the program and can further cement his legacy with the Blue Devils by lifting his program to its sixth national championship.
That question will be answered in due time, as the Blue Devils will take on the Houston Cougars in the Final Four on Saturday night in San Antonio. Tip-off between Duke and Houston is set for Saturday at 8:49 p.m. ET and will air live on CBS.
