Duke G Tyrese Proctor missed their last game this weekend dealing with a bone bruise he picked up last week. That will be the only one he misses, though, based on the latest from the Blue Devils.

According to sources, Proctor was on the court and warming up inside Cameron Indoor for the team’s final home game of the season tonight against Wake Forest. Around that same time, the program announced that he’ll be back in their starting lineup with a tweet.

Proctor exited towards the end of the first half of what was a 97-60 win for Duke last week at Miami. There was some real concern as he limped off the floor but Jon Scheyer and Mrs. Proctor later confirmed it was nothing more than the bone bruise with no structural damage to his leg.

With that, Proctor missed their last game on Saturday, which was another blowout at 100-65 against Florida State.

However, less than a week later, Proctor will return to the lineup tonight against the Demon Deacons.

As a junior this season, Proctor is averaging 11.8 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 2.3 assists. His points, rebounds, three-pointers, and steals per game are all career-highs while he also has career-best percentages from the field and from three. That has him third on the team in scoring and three-point shooting, fourth in assists, and fifth in steals.

Proctor could have been out for much longer based on how his injury initially looked last week. Instead, he missed one game over six days with him returning to the court tonight in Durham.

ACC official Bert Smith hits Sion James in face during call vs. Wake Forest

Bert Smith, an ACC referee, inadvertently hit Sion James in the face during the first half of Duke vs. Wake Forest on Monday.

The incident came early in the game. The referee was signaling a turnover and appeared to be unaware that James was behind him. Nothing came of the incident afterward and Smith appeared to apologize to James after the contact was made.
