Gainesville (Fla.) F. W. Buchholz three-star athlete Creed Whittemore has committed to Florida, announcing the news Saturday on social media.

He is the younger brother of current Gators wide receiver Trent Whittemore.

“I want to start off by thanking the Lord for giving me the abilities to play this sport and blessing me beyond measure,” Whittemore tweeted. “Thank you to all the coaches that recruited me and saw potential in me. Lastly I want to thank my mom, dad, and brothers for always being there and being my biggest motivation. In order to explore every possible option I’ve been all around the country the past year.Every venue I visited failed to compare to the connection I have with the school right here in my back yard. I have dreamed of running out of a college football tunnel ever since I was a kid and I always envisioned it being for the team I’ve cheered for my whole life.”

Creed Whittemoore is the No. 587 overall recruit in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

He currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $6.2k. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.

Whittemore joins Sharpsburg (Ga.) Trinity Christian School four-star athlete Aaron Gates and Eustis (Fla.) three-star wide receiver Tyree Patterson in the 2023 recruiting class for the Gators.
