4-star IOL Peyton Joseph decommits from Florida
Fort Valley (Ga.) Houston County four-star interior offensive lineman Peyton Joseph has decommitted from Florida.
He was pledged to the Gators since Feb. 18, when he chose the SEC program over Florida State, Tennessee and Georgia Tech.
Joseph is the No. 174 overall prospect and No. 12 IOL in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
The Gators had Joseph back in Gainesville multiple times in the spring, but so did FSU. The Seminoles have been one of the programs pushing hard for Joseph in 2024. For now, the four-star is back on the board.
“The feeling was amazing getting back to Doak,” Joseph told Warchant in April. “Watching the coaches, all the players running through the (drills) was amazing to be around. It’s always good watching Coach Atkins. He’s one of those coaches that it’s him and the player working together. He’s a very good teacher. He’s a man of his word, and he teaches you the game the right way. And he’s a technician, so you can be the best player.”

Florida loses blue-chip pledge
With Joseph no longer in the mix for Billy Napier and Co., Florida now has just four commits in its 2025 class.
Tallahassee (Fla.) James Rickards four-star defensive lineman Jalen Wiggins is the lone top-100 prospect in the mix and is the only commit on the defensive side of the ball. He is the No. 92 recruit in the nation and No. 7 DL in the cycle.
Wiggins’ commitment came just one day after Atlanta Woodward three-star wide receiver Josiah Abdullah, who chose the Gators while also holding offers from the likes of Tennessee, Alabama, LSU, Texas and more.
Tampa Plant four-star running back Waltez Clark is the longest-running commit in the fold for the Gators. He opted to pledge in September and is just outside the top 250 in the On3 Industry Ranking overall. Jacksonville Zarephath Academy three-star offensive tackle Enoch Wangoy is the newest pledge in the class, as he opted to join on March 9.
