4-star safety Kamari Wilson picks Florida over Georgia
Fort Pierce (Fla.) IMG Academy four-star safety Kamari Wilson has elected to go to Florida over favorites Georgia, making the decision Wednesday during National Signing Day.
Wilson is the No. 35 prospect in the 2022 class, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
He announced the decision on ESPN2.
“Coach Billy (Napier), he’s definitely turning that program around,” Wilson said on television. “I got trust in his process and his plan.”

Wilson was originally going to decided between LSU, Georgia, Texas A&M and Florida State, but the Gators came in at the last minute to secure the signing.
“Wilson, who has close ties with Jamar Chaney and Corey Raymond, decided to head to Gainesville for one last official before he signed,” Donavon Keiser of Gators Online wrote. “Both Raymond and Chaney spent months recruiting Wilson, as Chaney wanted to bring him to his last stop at Mississippi State, and Raymond wanted him in Baton Rouge.
