AFC executive anonymously slams Anthony Richardson's top college performance
Florida quarterback Anthony Richardson announced himself to the college football world by leading the Gators to a win over Utah. In an inconsistent 2022 season, it ended up being his best and most memorable performance.
Now, as Richardson prepares for the NFL Draft, one anonymous AFC executive has slammed that game against Utah.
“Everybody watches the Utah game—this guy’s top five!” said one AFC executive.
“Well, yeah, they ran three plays. Let’s not get it twisted. He’s running boot and he’s taking off if it’s not there. It’s just not real football.”
Anthony Richardson is one of the most hotly debated prospects in this season’s NFL Draft. He has all the raw talent in the world but struggled with his consistency while in college. There are also people who feel he needs to get better at going through his reads before he runs, which is something he will have to learn how to do.

All of this makes Anthony Richardson a high-risk high-reward gamble. It sounds like at least one AFC team isn’t interested in that gamble.
Todd McShay says the Anthony Richardson film is driving him crazy
Plenty of people see the raw talent that Anthony Richardson offers. Still, he’s incredibly hard to analyze, as ESPN NFL Draft analyst Todd McShay explained.
“He’s absolutely the most interesting player in the draft,” McShay said.
“I promise you it’s driving me crazy, watching Utah tape, then a disaster against Kentucky, he’s 6’4″, 234 pounds, rifle for an arm, mobile as can be, all the potential in the world, and a really good guy that you want to root for, that everyone in the building loves… A good guy, the most physically talented, but he’s not ready. He’s just not there yet.”
