Elite 2024 LB Jamonta Waller commits to Florida
Elite 2024 linebacker Jamonta Waller of Picayune (MS) Memorial High announced his commitment to Florida Monday night.
The 6-foot-2, 235 pounder chose the Gators over Auburn and Penn State.
Waller on why he chose Florida
“The people,” Waller said. “It just felt like home both times I went to Gainesville. They made me feel like a priority.”

The coaches I’m closest with are Mike Peterson and Armstrong,” Waller said. “They want me coming off the edge at the jack position.”
“I realized I wanted to be a Florida Gator at 4am last night, that’s when I knew it was home. So I woke up this morning and called coach Billy.”

The Mississippi linebacker joins coach Billy Napier and the Gators’ Top 3 class in the 2024 team rankings. He is accompanied by four-star quarterback DJ Lagway, four-star safety Xavier Filsaime, and others.
