The NFL Combine can produce career-changing moments for players, testing in front of every team in Indianapolis. Between measurements and testing numbers, a lot of questions on how games translate to the next level are answered ahead of the draft. Personal stories have the opportunity to be shared as well.

Florida defensive back Rashad Torrence had one of the best of the day, explaining the necklace he was wearing over his hoodie. A picture of his late grandmother is attached, someone Torrence lost at a young age. He decided to honor her when speaking to the media on Thursday.

According to Torrence, the goal for his grandmother was to one day see him play on TV in the NFL. That goal is now in sight with the defensive back going through the NFL Combine. Come late April and Torrence will hear his name called in Kansas City.

You can check out Torrence’s necklace below.

Torrence will have the opportunity to show his abilities to teams on Friday as well. Defensive backs will go through testing at Lucas Oil Stadium. The Florida product will have an excellent opportunity to shoot up draft boards and flash in front of NFL front offices.

Rashad Torrence coming off impressive career at Florida

Just a three-year player in Gainesville, Torrence made an impact on the Florida program from the moment he stepped on campus. He played in 34 games and started in 25 of them. Considered a safety coming out of high school, head coaches Dan Mullen and Billy Napier kept Torrence there.

During the 2022 season, Torrence led Florida in tackles, recording 84 of them. On three different occasions, he was able to put double digits on the board in a single game. Two of them came against Georgia and Tennessee.

No matter where Torrence falls in the NFL Draft, somebody is going to get a steal.
