Florida fails to stop Kentucky RB Ray Davis with 13 men on field
Florida has had issues throughout the season with getting the right number of players on the field, particularly on special teams.
The issue reared its ugly head again in a game against Kentucky on Saturday, though the gaffe didn’t end up costing Florida. Why not? Because Kentucky was able to punch a run into the end zone with tailback Ray Davis, who has been unstoppable on the afternoon.
Still, Florida lined up with 13 defenders and still couldn’t stop Davis from scoring. Check out the alignment below.
Because Davis scored, Kentucky simply declined the 13 men on the field penalty, taking the touchdown.
Ray Davis has been completely unstoppable throughout the afternoon. The touchdown plunge on the play with 13 men on the field was his fourth of the afternoon, with three rushing and one receiving.

Caleb Douglas getting X-rays
Florida has been looking for a spark all afternoon against Kentucky, and wide receiver Caleb Douglas provided them with one in the form of a 34-yard-reception. That set up a Hayden Hansen touchdown catch from Graham Mertz, and cut the Wildcats’ lead to 16.
However, Douglas ended up injuring himself on an acrobatic catch at the goal line, and had to be helped to the locker room. As halftime hit, he was still being looked at, receiving X-rays on what looked like an ankle injury.
The freshman has been productive for Florida, as the Gators have tried to get him more involved.
Douglas entered the day with 10 catches for 99 yards and a touchdown.
