Florida football announces sellout for home game vs LSU
One of the biggest home games on Florida’s schedule is against LSU on Oct. 15. The Swamp is going to be rocking that day, too.
Wednesday, Florida announced the game is officially a sellout. The game doesn’t yet have an official start time, but fans are already getting themselves ready for the big matchup, which also takes place on “Tom Petty Night.”

The Billy Napier Era gets underway Saturday when Florida welcomes Utah to The Swamp for a primetime showdown. That game sold out earlier this month as interest grows ahead of Napier’s first season in Gainesville after taking over for Dan Mullen.
LSU also underwent a high-profile coaching change over the offseason when Brian Kelly left Notre Dame to take over for Ed Orgeron. That means the two newest SEC coaches will square off in front of a packed house.

Florida students are buying the hype around the Gators this year
Earlier in the offseason, the Gators announced student tickets sold out for the 2022 season. In his pre-training camp press conference, Napier made sure to thank the student body for taking such an interest in the program, especially since it’s his first year. That will only add to the atmosphere this season.
“Just want to thank our student body for their support,” Napier said as the Gators reported to training camp. “Obviously, sold out the season tickets for the students. Without question, I think if you talk to opponents, our student section is a factor. They can impact the game and we’re certainly excited about what they’re going to bring, the energy and how they can to influence the game and certainly help our team.”
Florida gets the 2022 season started in big fashion with a Week 1 showdown against reigning Pac-12 champion Utah on Sept. 3. That game will kick off at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN.
