Mark another tally in the win column for the Florida Gators after their 24-17 victory over SEC East rival the Missouri Tigers. With the win, Florida advances to 4-2 on the season. Most importantly, it is their first win in conference play of the year. After picking up the victory, the Gators took their celebration to the locker room, singing a fan-favorite song.

In the video below, you can see the Florida players led by No.14, freshman linebacker Chief Borders, singing the school’s fight song in celebration of their win over Missouri.

It’s fitting that a defensive player lead everyone in singing the praises of Florida in the locker room, considering their impressive play on the field on Saturday. The Gators’ defense did an excellent job at bending but not breaking for much of the game. Despite giving up 220 yards through the air to Missouri, the Gators stalled out two of their drives with interceptions. One of the interceptions, courtesy of defensive back Jaydon Hill, resulted in a 49-yard pick-six for the game’s first touchdown.

Florida will look to build off the momentum of this victory in their matchup next Saturday against another tiger rival, LSU, at home. LSU is coming off of an embarrassing loss at the hands of the Tennessee Volunteers and will likely come into the game with a chip on his shoulder. But as long as the Gators’ defense does what it needs to and star quarterback Anthony Richardson dominates on offense, the Gators will chop down on the tigers and the swamp and secure their second conference victory of the season.

The Gators got revenge over the Tigers after last year’s overtime loss in Columbia. The all-time series is now tied at six a piece.

The win also gives UF head coach Billy Napier his first SEC win as coach of the Gators. The Gators will host LSU next Saturday at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN.
