No Florida Gators player in the past two decades — and maybe ever — is more recognizable than Tim Tebow. So it’s no surprise that new head coach Billy Napier asked the former Heisman winner and two-time national champion to narrate the Gators’ National Signing Day hype video.

“When someone signs their name on the dotted line, it solidifies a commitment to something larger than themselves,” Tebow says. “One small action closes the door on the past, enabling a new future to take shape. What lies beyond this moment? 90,000 strong. And an introduction unlike any other. A place where legends are born, and only Gators get out alive. Simply put, a gateway to greatness that leads to a stage reserved for the few. People say you can’t predict the future; we don’t need to. Florida is the future.”

The video features highlights of Tebow, as well as other former Gator stars like Emmitt Smith, Vernon Hargreaves III, Percy Harvin, Chris Leake, Kyle Trask, Kyle Pitts.

This year’s Florida recruiting class has started to take shape under Napier, jumping up to No. 28 overall in the On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Rankings.

Napier and Co. snatched four-star safety Kamari Wilson away from Georgia, and added four-star safety Devin Moore and stud linebacker Shemar James.

The Gators are still in the mix for four-star running back TreVonte’ Citizen, five-star linebacker Harold Perkins, and a handful of others as National Signing Day looms.
