Saint Louis (Mo.) Christian Brothers College four-star wide receiver Jeremiah McClellan received an offer from Florida on Thursday. He announced the news over Twitter.

McClellan is the No. 175 overall prospect and No. 32 wide receiver in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 6 player in Missouri.

On3 rates McClellan higher than other recruiting services, according to the Industry Comparison. Per the 2024 On300, he is the No. 30 wide receiver in the country and No. 5 player in Missouri.

Multiple schools have already hosted the 5-foot-10.5, 190-pound wideout this year. They include Missouri (March 14), LSU (March 10), Clemson (March 4), Oregon (Jan. 28) and Tennessee (Jan. 14).

According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, Missouri has a close lead for McClellan’s commitment at 26.2%. The Tigers are competing against numerous programs, including LSU, which McClellan has supported for a long time.

LSU offered and LSU was my dream school,” McClellan told On3’s Chad Simmons on Jan. 27. “Since I was little, I have liked LSU. I played for the Tigers when I was a kid and LSU has been that school for me.

“I watched them win a National Championship, I saw them develop wide receivers and I have always liked the way they play. LSU has been that school I have liked a lot as long as I can remember.”

LSU is not the only program pushing hard for McClellan, however. He was greatly impressed on his visits to Oregon and Tennessee.

“Their atmosphere was crazy,” McClellan told Simmons about Oregon. “The coaching staff, they had music playing. Everybody was hyped up just to have me there. So it just made me feel really special. I don’t think I really felt like that with all the other schools.”

Regarding the Volunteers, his January visit to Knoxville helped them go “higher on my radar.” Like Oregon, McClellan felt like a priority to Tennessee on his trip there.

“The staff made me feel like I was the only target there,” McClellan shared with Simmons. “They made me feel amazing, like I was really the target they were looking for. I talked to the head coach (Josh Heupel) for a while. I talked to (wide receivers) coach (KelseyPope for a really long time and they were just discussing their plan for me, telling me how I would succeed at Tennessee if I were to go there. They made me really feel like a big target for them.”

Right now, the Gators have the nation’s No. 3 class, headlined by Willis (Texas) five-star quarterback DJ Lagway. Even though Florida does not currently have any wide receiver commits, McClellan is one of many talented wideouts on the Gators’ radar, alongside Ohio State Five-Star Plus+ commit Jeremiah Smith and Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) St. Thomas Aquinas four-star Chance Robinson among others.
