Florida baseball reveals uniform combo for Game 3 of CWS Finals
The Florida Gators revealed their baseball uniforms for the pivotal Game 3 of the College World Series against LSU and it’s a doozy.
Florida opted for orange jerseys, white pants and the blue caps with the ‘F’ logo. After a 24-4 rout of LSU in Game 2, Kevin O’Sullivan and company want to keep it rolling.
Take a look below at Florida’s uniform combination for Monday night’s winner take all game.
The other uniform combinations for the Gators consisted of the all-white combination in Game 1, a loss to LSU. Florida wore the blue caps as well.
In Game 2, the blowout win, Florida wore blue jerseys, white pants and white caps. A third combination in three games is a risky move for the superstitious people.
But can you really replicate 24 runs in Game 2?
“It’s really hard to unwind, to be honest with you,” O’Sullivan said postgame. “You lose a game like last night and it’s just really, really hard to kind of let it go. But you have to. That was the message last night.
“And then just to flip the switch and the whole story — the whole narrative changes, it’s just — yeah, it’s emotional. You just take it in and support all the fans. They’re singing the song at the end. And it’s really, really cool. It was a really cool deal.”

Florida and LSU prepare for Game 3
Florida’s uniforms aside, it’s winner take all Monday night between the two SEC foes.
“A lot to be said,” O’Sullivan said after the Game 2 win. “We swung the bats really good today. And the wind was in our favor. It was obviously a tight game to start. And then we just swung the bats extremely well, obviously. I thought the double play that Blake Purnell got was a huge play in the game. And obviously Nick came in and did a terrific job on the mound.
“We’re excited about the opportunity to play tomorrow. Obviously we can’t take any of these runs into tomorrow. We’ll have to reset, reboot. But awfully proud of the way they responded from last night’s tough loss.”
Maybe a reset and reboot means Florida’s uniform combination change. We like the orange under the bright lights in Omaha.
Uniforms aside, the best team will ultimately win, as the old cliche goes.
Florida and LSU square off in Game 3 Monday night at 7:00 p.m. ET in the final contest of the College World Series.
