Florida reveals fresh uniforms for game versus Kentucky
When Florida travels to Lexington this weekend, they will don fresh away uniforms as they look to end Kentucky’s undefeated season.
The orange and white combination with blue block numbers will stand out in a sea of blue at Kroger Field.
In addition to the sleek uniforms, the Gators bring with them the top rushing offense in the SEC, currently averaging 322.8 yards per game on the ground. Quarterback Emory Jones is their leading rusher, averaging 6.6 yards per carry.
After sitting out the last two weeks with a hamstring injury, dual-threat quarterback Anthony Richardson will be available for this week’s game. In Florida’s first two games, Richardson added a spark when the offense needed it.
Florida head coach Dan Mullen is expected to play both quarterbacks.
Gators preparing for a stout Kentucky defense
The Gators will face a Kentucky defense allowing 260 total yards per game, which is second in the SEC only behind Georgia.

Kentucky has a very good run game of its own, as running back Chris Rodriguez leads the SEC in total rushing yards with 513. He has three rushing scores on the year. Additionally, Kentucky wide receiver and Nebraska transfer Wan’Dale Robinson is the SEC’s top wideout in terms of yardage, with 25 receptions for 402 yards.
Kentucky head coach Mark Stoops has created a consistently decent program during his nine-year tenure, one that certainly should not be overlooked. Kentucky is 4-0, and while they have played multiple close games, including a 16-10 victory over South Carolina last weekend, the matchup between these two SEC East rivals has been close in recent years.
While Florida has won every game against the Wildcats with the exception of their 2018 game, five of the last seven contests have been competitive games. Florida leads the series all-time 53-18.
As of Thursday morning, Florida is an 8-point favorite. The game kicks off at 6:00 p.m. ET on ESPN.
