Mitchell on why he chose Florida
Florida was one of the first schools to reach out to me when I entered the portal. Coach Bateman and I clicked right away. He’s from Virginia as well, he has been watching me since high school. He recruited a couple guys from my area/high school when he was at Army and UNC. So we were already familiar with each other.
Florida was a school that needed linebackers. That’s a position they were thin at heading into next season. And going into my 6th year, it was important for me to go somewhere where I can make an immediate impact. So it all felt right.
The coaching staff made me feel like family. Coach Napier and his staff bring a lot to the table, and I think they are going to put me in the position to succeed at the collegiate and professional level.
