Former Wisconsin WR Chimere Dike commits to Florida
Former Wisconsin wideout Chimere Dike has committed to Florida, he announced on social media on Wednesday. Dike will have one year of eligibility remaining.
Dike was a longtime teammate at Wisconsin with current Florida quarterback Graham Mertz. Dike played in 44 games during four years at Wisconsin, bringing a wealth of experience to the Gators. He caught 97 passes for 1478 yards and nine touchdowns during his time with the Badgers.
His best season was the last with Mertz in Madison, 2022. Dike caught 47 passes for 689 yards and six touchdowns in 13 games that season. Replicating that sort of production in 2024 in Gainesville with Mertz under center would certainly be the ideal for all involved parties in this move.
Dike played high school football at North Waukesha (Wi.) High School, where he was a three-star prospect. He was the No. 632 overall recruit in the 2020 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
