Four-star wide receiver Izaiah Williams of Tampa (FL) Carrollwood Day announced his commitment to Florida Friday afternoon.

The 6-foot, 185 pounder chose the Gators over LSU, Tennessee, and Florida State.

Williams on why he chose Florida

“I choose UF for several reasons. First, UF is one of the top 5 public universities in the nation. Academics plays a huge role in my decision and I feel UF provides me with a premier learning experience within the state of Florida. Second, I really love the football program and can see the vision with Coach Napier and Coach Gonzalez and am excited to be a part of this program. I feel I can be a big aspect of this team. Lastly, Florida has been my dream school growing up and I always wanted to play in the SEC which in my opinion is the best conference. I love the atmosphere and feel at home when I’m on campus.”

Relationship with coaching staff + their plan for Izaiah Williams

“Ever since Coach Gonzalez has gotten to UF, he’s been showing me a lot of love and interest in me. Him and Coach Deck make sure to keep in contact with me everyday to show their support for me. They plan on developing me not only as a player but as a man as well and that’s what I look for in these coaches.”

The Sunshine State wide receiver joins coach Napier and the Gators’ Top 5 class in the 2024 team rankings. He is accompanied by DJ Lagway, Xavier Filsaime, and others.
