Gators OL Richie Leonard plans to enter the transfer portal

Florida offensive lineman Richie Leonard is planning on entering the transfer portal.

Leonard shared the news in a tweet on social media on Friday.

I would like to thank the University of Florida for my time there. Glad I can say I am an alumnus of this great institution. With that being said I am entering my name in the transfer portal as a grad transfer. pic.twitter.com/o3mZOqx8EQ

Leonard has spent the last four years in The Swamp as a member of their offensive line. After redshirting as a freshman, he has appeared in 31 games over the past three years with 14 starts. That included this past season where he was the Gators’ full-time starter at left guard.

Leonard played high school football at Cocoa (FL) where he was a three-star prospect. He was the No. 666 overall recruit in the 2020 cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He finished as Top-50 IOL in the class and a Top-100 player out of Florida.
