In-state EDGE Jack Pyburn to officially visit Florida this weekend
Jacksonville (Fla.) Bolles EDGE Jack Pyburn was originally planning to commit this week. The 6-foot-4, 260-pound three-star has been down to Auburn or Miami, but he wasn’t ready to commit, and he pushed his decision back to Tuesday, Feb. 1.
Now there could be a third school to join that commitment ceremony next week.
Florida put eyes on Pyburn Wednesday and he will check out the Gators this weekend.
“Florida started showing interest over the past two weeks and the official visit was scheduled today,” Pyburn told On3 Thursday.
Pyburn will go into the visit without an offer from the Gators. If one comes over the weekend, the Gators could have a hat on the table next week.

“I grew up a Gator fan, so I am open to see how the visit goes. I want to see what the staff is building and what the vision they have for the program is going into the future.
“If they offer, it is a school I would consider.”
Pyburn committed to Minnesota early on. After a senior season where he finished with 109 total tackles, 32 tackles for loss, and 14 sacks, new offers started rolling in. He backed off that pledge.
He is now down to Auburn, Miami, and maybe Florida.
