Washington (D.C.) St. John’s four-star interior offensive lineman Jordan Seaton received an offer from Florida on Jan. 20. He eventually visited the Gators on March 29.

Seaton is the No. 53 overall prospect and No. 1 interior offensive lineman in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 2 player in Washington D.C.

On3 rates Seaton higher than other recruiting services, according to the Industry Comparison. Per the 2024 On300, he is the No. 36 overall prospect in the country.

The 6-foot-5, 295-pound recruit included Florida among his top 14 schools. According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, Ohio State has a commanding lead for his commitment at 89.2%.

“I’m a winner,” Seaton told On3’s Chad Simmons on Nov. 29. “So I want to go to a winning program. I’m not so far as looking for a certain location because wherever’s best for me, as far as school-wise, facility-wise, coach-wise, that’s where I’m gonna choose.”

“When I go on the visits, I want to see everything, like the stuff they don’t usually talk about,” he added. “I want to talk to the players. I want to know everything I could know that sometimes people leave out. When I go on these visits, they tell you the first impression is everything, so a good first impression could lead to a lot of good things in the next couple of years.”

Many programs are recruiting Seaton

The Gators are not the only program to recently host Seaton. The four-star has also been to Georgia, Florida State and Virginia Tech in 2023.

“This visit for me was pretty much an eye-opener, getting to see what the back-to-back champions are about in the SEC and what coach Kirby Smart and his staff have done,” Seaton told Simmons about his trip to the Bulldogs.

“They’re consistent with getting guys to the league,” he added. “Watching and seeing them develop guys into the league has been really a game changer in my recruitment process.”

Regarding Florida, the Gators’ 2024 recruiting class contains five players. The group ranks No. 3 in the 2024 On3 Industry Recruiting Rankings and No. 3 in the SEC.

Head coach Billy Napier and his staff do not currently have any interior offensive linemen commitments. However, three Florida pledges are top-100 recruits in Willis (Texas) four-star quarterback DJ Lagway, Atlanta (Ga.) Woodward Academy four-star linebacker Myles Graham and Largo (Fla.) four-star linebacker Adarius Hayes.
