Florida freshman Mia Williams isn’t ready for her debut campaign to end. On Sunday, Williams crushed a two-run shot to center field to give the Gators a 4-0 lead over Baylor in the bottom of the second inning in Game 3 of the Gainesville Regional.

The massive hit was Williams’ first of the postseason. Williams entered the showdown on Sunday 0-8 from the plate during Florida’s first five postseason games.

In 96 at-bats this season, Williams has a .167 batting average. Additionally, the Florida native has a .344 slugging perentage to go with six home runs. Despite Mia Williams’ slow start to the postseason, her sudden surge of offense could not have come at a better time.
