Barnesville (Ga.) Lamar County linebacker CJ Allen has been offered by Florida, he announced Wednesday on Twitter.

Allen is the No. 516 prospect in the 2023 class, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He ranks as the nation’s No. 52 linebacker and the No. 44 prospect in Georgia.

On3’s own rankings are significantly higher on Allen than the rest of the industry, though. There, he checks in as the No. 159 prospect, No. 14 linebacker and No. 17 junior in the Peach State.

The 6-foot-1, 216-pounder has amassed offers from the likes of Georgia, USC, Oklahoma, Tennessee and Miami, in addition to the Gators.

The in-state Bulldogs have made a strong impression on him over the past year.

“I was back at Georgia Saturday, and it was my fifth visit to Georgia since June 1,” Allen told On3 Director of Recruiting Chad Simmons last month. “The first visit I was nervous, the second time I was nervous, but now, it is that normal feel with no nerves. … Georgia has been very consistent recruiting me and they have made me feel comfortable there. I am relaxed around the coaches and they have made me feel wanted.”

However, CJ Allen says he doesn’t currently have a leader and remains open in his recruitment.

“Georgia is a school I like, but I still have all the schools in the same category,” he added. “There is going to be no rush for me to make my decision. I am going to take my time.”
