SEC Nation unveils Week 9 location
It may not be the famed College GameDay, but SEC Nation has been the SEC Network’s version of the raucous ESPN show. Since the beginning of the season, their crew of Tim Tebow, Laura Rutledge, Roman Harper, Paul Finebaum and Jordan Rodgers has brought energy onto SEC campuses.
Next week, it’s another homecoming for both Florida alums in Tebow and Rutledge. SEC Nation is headed to Jacksonville for the showdown between the Florida Gators and Georgia Bulldogs.
“SEC Network announced Friday that its weekly traveling show, SEC Nation Supplemented by Aflac, will be making its way to Jacksonville to broadcast from the site of this year’s matchup between the Florida Gators and the Georgia Bulldogs, Saturday, Oct. 30,” stated the SEC Network.
Prior to SEC Nation, Marty & McGee Presented by Old Trapper will also air live from Jacksonville. The show hosted by ESPN’s Marty Smith and Ryan McGee will air on Saturday morning, for an hour before SEC Nation.
Additionally, The Paul Finebaum Show Presented by Johnsonville will prelude everything — airing Friday afternoon.
Moreover, this is the second time this season that SEC Nation prominently features the Florida Gators. Earlier this season, the show traveled to Gainesville — when Florida hosted the Alabama Crimson Tide in Ben Hill Griffin Stadium.
Dan Mullen not naming starting QB against Georgia
Evidently, SEC Nation won’t run out of things to talk about regarding the team’s quarterback situations. While Georgia may have a drama-less two-quarterback system, Florida head coach Dan Mullen is getting tired of answering questions regarding his.
Mullen got cagey when asked which quarterback will start for Florida against Georgia. After the performance on Anthony Richardson against LSU, many believe he should get a lion-share of opportunities over Emory Jones.

However, Mullen decided against naming a starter earlier this week on the SEC coaches teleconference.
“Uh, like every day, we’ll look at everything and we evaluate everything that we do all the time,” stated Mullen. “Just like at every position or spot on the field. We have both guys that have played a bunch, who have experience, and we’re fortunate to have two guys that are a pretty good combination out on the field together.”
Moreover, Mullen harkened back to Florida’s strategy of playing both Richardson and Jones in games. Continuing, the Florida coach stated that he won’t reveal the quarterback who will take the first snaps of the game.
“I’m never going to get into the strategy of what we’re going to do in a game,” said Mullen. “Like I’ve said, we’ve played both quarterbacks in every game. I’m not going to get into the strategy of when I’m going to play the different guys. I’m not going to tell you what the first play of the game is going to be if that’s what you’re asking.”
Perhaps SEC Nation will have an easier time getting information out of Mullen. For now, the Florida coach is tight-lipped about his quarterback situation.
