Ole Miss is one of the hottest teams in the country as it heads to The Swamp to face Florida on Saturday. The Rebels are coming off back-to-back blowout wins over Arkansas and Georgia and had a bye week to get healthy before the final stretch of the season.

Despite that, ESPN analyst and former Florida star Tim Tebow believes the Gators can cause some issues for Ole Miss on Saturday. Tebow feels that DJ Lagway in particular can give Ole Miss some problems.

“Well, I think if you look at this Gators team, the way that they’ve been able to continue to play with heart and character, and their resilience, even though they’ve lost quarterbacks, and now they get DJ back, his ability to throw the deep ball,” Tim Tebow said Saturday morning on SportsCenter. “That’s really where Ole Miss has to be nervous is he has the second-most deep ball completions in the FBS.

“He hasn’t even played a lot this season. He has an uncanny ability to hit the deep ball and be accurate on the move, just like you’re seeing right now. That’s a ridiculous pass on the move in an uncomfortable situation for most quarterbacks.”

Lagway has been in and out of the lineup this season, but Florida has been dangerous when he has been healthy.

He helped the Gators jump out to a lead against Georgia, before going down with an injury. The freshman also led Florida to a blowout win over Kentucky and a double-digit victory over LSU.

In addition, The Swamp can be a difficult place to play. When you add it all up, Tebow believes Ole Miss better be careful against Florida.

“The Swamp’s going to be rocking,” Tebow said. “Ole Miss has to understand, yes they are a more complete team. But this Florida team is playing with a lot of heart and resiliency and they believe in this young kid DJ Lagway.”
