Tim Tebow, two other Florida legends make Hall of Fame ballot

Three Florida Gators legends are heading for the 2023 College Football Hall of Fame ballot, the National Football Foundation announced on Monday. Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback Tim Tebow, as well as DT Brad Culpepper and RB Errict Rhett, will be on the ballot, with the final list released in early 2023.
Florida has produced 13 Hall of Famers – nine players and four coaches – including Steve Spurrier, who was inducted both as a player and a coach. The last Gator to be awarded the honor was offensive lineman Lomas Brown in 2020. Since 2000, eight Gators have joined the prestigious group.
The 2023 College Football Hall of Fame Class induction will be on Dec. 5, 2023, during the 65th NFF Annual Awards Dinner. The Chick-fil-A College Football Hall of Fame in Atlanta will also immortalize the class.
Tim Tebow was the first collegiate sophomore in history to win the Heisman Trophy in 2007. He set 28 school records during his career and led the Florida Gators to two national titles.
