Florida Gators sophomore running back Treyaun Webb will reportedly undergo surgery for a fractured tibia, according to Swamp 247’s Graham Hall.

“BREAKING: Gators sophomore RB Treyaun Webb will undergo surgery for a fractured tibia, Swamp 247 has learned,” Hall wrote on Twitter.

Webb last played in a game against Mississippi State back in September. In four games, Webb had 21 carries for 93 yards and one touchdown.

As a member of the Class of 2023, Webb was a four-star recruit out of Jacksonville (Fla.) Trinity Christian Academy, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He was the No. 64 overall prospect in the state, the No. 23 running back in the class and the No. 353 overall prospect in the class.

Florida will need everything at its disposal to beat Texas this weekend, sans Webb. The Gators fell short in their upset bid of Georgia last weekend.

“So, we have moved forward and begun our prep for Texas,” head coach Bill Napier said this week.
“Obviously, Texas is a very talented roster. I think from top to bottom in every position. It’s elite height, length, speed, athleticism. I do think that they have a veteran quarterback, and they have a rebuilt skill group around him and a handful of offensive linemen that have really good experience as well. I do think the returners are dynamic in the kicking game and just in general of the athleticism and the philosophy that they play within the kicking game presents a number of issues so we will have to buttoned up there.”

There has yet to be an official timetable for recovery for Webb as the Gators move on with their season.
