Trikweze Bridges trolls granddad over signing destination
The early signing period is a tense time, not just for players and coaches but for the families of prospects making their college decisions. Oregon transfer defensive back Trikweze Bridges has already been through national signing day once
He ended up out west with the Ducks. But he recently entered the NCAA transfer portal looking for a new school.
Bridges committed to the Florida Gators but opted to pull a little prank on his unsuspecting family. More specifically, his granddad.
In a video he filmed, Bridges shared the moment that he unveiled his destination to his granddad… only Trikweze Bridges informed him that he was headed to Washington, not Florida, remaining out on the West coast.
We’ll let you watch the reaction for yourself, though we will note there is one minor expletive included. Be warned if you open with the audio.
Before he enrolled at Oregon, Bridges was a three-star prospect from Lanett (AL) Lanett. So his move to Gainesville will put him significantly closer to home.
Trikweze Bridges spent four seasons with the Ducks, where he totaled 91 tackles, eight pass deflections, four interceptions, and a pair of forced fumbles.
He was the No. 434 overall recruit in the 2019 cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He finished as the No. 43 safety in the class as well as the No. 16 player out of Alabama.
