Tulane transfer DB D.J. Douglas commits to Florida Gators
Tulane transfer defensive back D.J. Douglas recently entered the portal in search of a new home across the college football landscape. On Saturday evening, he found it. Douglas officially committed to the Florida Gators. He announced the move on his Twitter page.
After walking on at Alabama ahead of the 2019 season and spending two years with the Crimson Tide, Douglas transferred to Tulane where he’d make 36 game appearances over the last three seasons. During his time with the Tide, he played against Mississippi State in 2020 and redshirted there in 2019. In his three seasons with the Green Wave Douglas recorded 39 tackles, four interceptions, and seven pass breakups, with most of his production coming in the most recent 2023 season.
Douglas played high school football at Alabaster (AL) Thompson, where he was an unranked, unrated recruit in the 2019 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
