3-star S Kenton Kirkland visiting Florida State this weekend
Jacksonville (Fla.) Raines three-star safety Kenton Kirkland is visiting Florida State this weekend. He announced the news over social media on Wednesday.
The 6-foot-1, 176 pound prospect is ranked as the No. 474 overall prospect and the No. 47 safety in the 2023 On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 91 player in Florida.
Kirkland has taken two unofficial visits to Tallahassee, with his most recent one coming on April 9. The only other program he has been on multiple visits to is Florida.
The Seminoles’ 2023 recruiting class is currently ranked No. 18 in the 2023 On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Rankings. It contains 10 commitments.

Kirkland has received offers from multiple programs including Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Miami and Michigan. According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, the Gators lead for Kirkland’s commitment at 34.6%, while the Seminoles aren’t far behind at 30.2%.
He has an On3 NIL Valuation of $6.3K. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
