3-star WR Goldie Lawrence commits to Florida State
Three-star wide receiver Darren “Goldie” Lawrence out of Sanford (Fla.) Seminole has committed to Florida State, announcing the news Friday.
”The recruiting process has been crazy,” Lawrence told the Tallahassee Democrat. “That was hard, decommitting from my favorite school. The relationships I built with the coaches are really important to me. I’m glad I’ve found my home.”
The On3 Consensus — a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies — has Lawrence as the No. 516 overall recruit in the 2023 cycle.
Lawrence was previously committed to Florida but decommitted from the school in January. He had 54 catches for 783 yards and 11 touchdowns this past season as a junior.

He currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $12.1k. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
The Seminoles now have six recruits in its 2023 class, including four-star players: Miami Gulliver Prep four-star EDGE Lamont Green Jr., New Bern (N.C.) four-star defensive lineman Keith Sampson Jr. and Brentwood (Tenn.) Ravenwood four-star quarterback Chris Parson.
