4-star CB Damari Brown locks in Florida State official visit
Four-star Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) American Heritage cornerback Damari Brown has his next official visit set.
On Monday, he tweeted that he will be at Florida State this weekend when the Seminoles host Clemson. It will be his fourth of five allotted official visits after taking trips to Clemson (June 3), Alabama (June 17), and Miami (September 23) earlier this year.
The 6-foot, 180-pound Brown is the No. 240 overall prospect in the 2023 class, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He ranks as the nation’s No. 29 cornerback and the No. 49 senior recruit in the state of Florida.
His last visit to Tallahassee came in the spring, and he told On3 Director of Recruiting Chad Simmons that he remains in contact with numerous Florida State staff members and the Seminoles are still being considered.

Alabama LB announces plan to transfer
“The defensive back tradition of the school and the opportunity to play early on as two huge reasons for his interest in Florida State,” Brown said. “I have not been there in a while, but I am considering taking an official visit early in October. It is something I am thinking about.”
The Seminoles are off to a 4-2 start, their best under Mike Norvell, and that has impressed Damari Brown.
“Coach Norvell has a lot to prove this year with this program that just put them off to a good start. I’ve seen a lot of fight in the team. I like what they showed Sunday ( in the season opener against LSU) as a team.”
