Azareye’h Thomas Scouting Summary

On3 Director of Scouting Charles Power wrote the following about Thomas as a prospect:

Two-way playmaker who works as a wide receiver and defensive back for one of the top high school programs in the Florida Panhandle. Likely projects as a safety long-term. Plays with a good feel for the game. Tracks the ball well as a receiver. Has long arms, which help increase his catch radius as a receiver. Has displayed sure hands over the years. Quick feet and fluid change of direction makes for after the catch ability. Lacks some true top end speed. Will win on quickness and instinct more than pure speed.

Thomas is the No. 81 prospect in the 2022 class, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is ranked as the nation’s No. 8 safety and the No. 12 player in the state of Florida.
