Five-star wide receiver and Texas A&M commit Cam Coleman will visit Florida State this weekend for the Seminoles’ game against Miami, according to On3’s Chad Simmons.

Coleman has been committed to the Aggies since July, but has taken visits to Colorado, Florida, and Alabama this fall.

“After I committed, my recruitment slowed down, but picked up at the same time,” Coleman told Simmons in September. “Before I committed, Clemson, Georgia and some others were coming heavy. They really slowed it down. But schools like Auburn, Colorado, Florida, Penn State and Florida State picked it up.

After visiting Florida last weekend, Coleman told GatorsOnline that he plans to take an official visit to Gainesville later this fall. That matches his plan from September, which included taking officials to Colorado, Penn State, Florida and Florida State.

Both schools in the Sunshine State have remained on him and are pushing to flip both he and Five-Star Plus+ Ohio State wide receiver commit Jeremiah Smith. The latter visited Florida last weekend and will also be in Tallahassee on Saturday for the Miami game.

“I have visited Florida once and I have been to FSU three or four times,” Coleman said in September. “Both schools talk to me a lot and are wanting me to visit again. Florida and Auburn are the schools recruiting me the hardest right now. FSU is right behind those two. I like both staffs and I want to get back.”

His last stop in Tallahassee was in June, he told Simmons. And in addition to this visit, the ‘Noles will push for an official visit close to the Early Signing Period in December.

Cam Coleman Scouting Summary

“Twitched-up receiver with projectable size and length who is arguably the most physically-gifted pass catcher in the 2024 cycle. Projects as a dynamic X wide receiver. Measured in at 6-foot-3.5, 185 pounds with a 33.5-inch arm in the spring prior to his senior season. Tested as a rare athlete during the spring camp cycle. Pairs his athleticism and length to result in a large catch radius. Shows the ability to make eye-popping acrobatic grabs in contested situations. Adjusts to low and wide throws. Frames the ball at the catch point, using good technique. Flashed a relatively advanced release package off the line of scrimmage in the camp setting along with the burst and long-speed to separate on Friday nights.

… Has the long speed to separate downfield against top corners. Runs with toughness after the catch. Has a shorter stride length for a taller wide receiver. Doubles as an electric above-the-rim athlete on the basketball court. Young for the cycle, not turning 18 years-old until his freshman season of college. Does not have the same level of gaudy production as some other top-ranked 2024 wide receivers as he split targets with Michigan signee Karmello English as a junior. Has shown several signs of a very high developmental upside along with a rapid spike in his development over the course of his junior year.”
