Jacksonville Mandarin five-star wide receiver Jaime Ffrench is going to be a handful for opposing defenses at the college level.

The elite athlete is one of the top wideouts in the 2025 cycle and projects to make a splash at wherever he lands following the final chapter of his high school season. The former Alabama commit can do more than catch the football, though.

It’s prime camp season and as recruits gear up for their senior campaigns, plenty of the nation’s best are squaring off against each other with spring nearing. Ffrench took to social media to show that he can play quarterback in a pinch, if needed, as demonstrated by his latest performance with the 7-on-7 South Florida Express.

Ffrench is the No. 14 overall prospect and No. 3 wideout in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 2 player in The Sunshine State.

He recently told On3’s Chad Simmons that he has set a quartet of spring visits to LSU (March 9), Ohio State (March 30), Texas (April 6) and Tennessee (April 8). Since backing off his pledge to Bama following the retirement of Nick Saban, Ffrench has been one of the most highly sought-after prospects in the country.

“I definitely want to hit the reset button with my recruiting process because of the retirement of coach Saban and also, there is nobody currently there at Alabama who previously recruited me,” Ffrench told On3 following his decommitment. “I feel that it’s not fair for the schools who are head-over-heels about me, so I wanted to hit the reset button and take another look at things.”

Jaime Ffrench Recruiting Profile

Ffrench is the No. 14 overall prospect and No. 3 wideout in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 2 player in The Sunshine State.

On3’s Scouting and Rankings team writes this about Ffrench as a prospect:

“Jaime Ffrench is a savvy receiver with advanced route-running skills. Measured at around 6-foot-1, 185 pounds in the off-season prior to his junior year. Tests as a solid athlete in the combine setting. Shows elite change of direction and start-stop ability on Friday nights and in the camp setting. Easily changes gears within his routes. Capable of stacking corners off the line and shows shake at the top of his routes.

…Flashed coordination and the ball skills to make fantastic one-handed grabs at camps. Shifty after the catch. A competitive prospect who showed up to seemingly every event in the off-season. Can clean up concentration drops as he can lose focus at times. Projects as one of the top receivers in the 2025 cycle in large part due to his well rounded, technical skill set.”
