BREAKING: On300 OL Aliou Bah decommits from Florida State
Memphis (Tenn.) IMG Academy four-star interior offensive lineman Aliou Bah has decommitted from Florida State.
Bah told On3’s Chad Simmons that his decommitment was not a rash decision, but something that has been on his mind for months.
“I’ve been thinking about it for a while… over a couple of months,” Bah said. “Just visiting other schools made me question my decision. Me and my family decided that it was best that I opened things back up to make sure that I made the best decision for me and my family.”
Bah said he does not have a timeline to make his next commitment.
He is the No. 276 overall recruit in the 2022 On300 and was one of the keystones of the Seminoles recruiting class.
Simmons asked Bah if the Florida State is out of the running entirely, and Bah responded honestly.
“I’m leaning towards going to another university,” Bah said.
Who is in the mix for Aliou Bah?
Aliou Bah told Simmons that he has been hearing from Florida, Georgia and Texas in addition to Florida State.
“I’m looking for a great academic environment, as well as football,” Bah said. “I’m looking for a high level of competition and granted the opportunity of resources that would allow me to be the best version of myself.”
Bah has been on visited to the Gators and the Bulldogs this October. He watched Georgia pummel Arkansas in a noon matchup and then saw Florida steamroll Vanderbilt the following weekend.

His visit to Georgia coincided with many elite prospects, including five-stars Travis Hunter, Mykel Williams and Shemar Stewart. Four-star IMG Academy teammates Bear Alexander and Kamari Wilson were also at the game.
“Georgia has been in constant contact with me,” Bah told Simmons in late September. “After my official visit, I wanted to go back to see how I felt. I loved the official visit, and when I went back, I loved it again.”
Bah’s decommitment is not a suprise
Aliou Bah’s decommitment does not come as a major surprise to those following the recruiting trail.
On3’s Jeremy Crabtree wrote about 15 recruits to watch out for over the next few weeks who may decommit. Bah was at the top of the list.
“It’s probably best to list Bah’s commitment to Florida State as shaky,” Crabtree wrote. “He was in Athens this past weekend, and intel says he had a good time on the trip. The Dawgs would love to add him to their offensive line class. So would Florida.”
