5-star WR Caleb Cunningham visits Florida State
After almost a full calendar year, Ackerman (Miss.) Choctaw County five-star wide receiver Caleb Cunningham has returned to Florida State.
On Sunday, the nation’s No. 11 overall prospect and No. 2 wide receiver in the 2025 cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking arrived in Tallahassee for the first time since March 2023, when he visited for the ‘Noles junior day festivities.
The trip marks Cunningham’s fourth known visit to campus as the Seminoles try to add a five-star receiver in their 2025 class after missing on a few in 2024.
Last month, Cunningham named Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Georgia Tech, LSU, Mississippi State, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, South Carolina and Tennessee as his top 12 schools. He is coming off his first visit to Norman and spent the first part of the weekend in Gainesville.
“These are schools that are recruiting me hard and schools I have good relationships with,” Cunningham told On3’s Chad Simmons of his top schools. “Each has something I like and that is why they made the list.”
Cunningham is in no rush to make his next cut. He is eyeing the summer as to when he will take the next step in the recruiting process. At that point, he is likely to begin taking official visits, and schools will be working to get those. He told GatorsOnline on Sunday morning that UF will be one of them.
As it stands now though, he is expected to take his recruitment the distance to the Early Signing Period in December.
“I am going to stay patient with everything,” he told Simmons. “It is a little overwhelming at times, so I am taking my time and I could take official visits in the summer and the during the season. I am not really sure yet.”
