Class of 2026 WR Devin Carter commits to Florida State
Class of 2026 wide receiver Devin Carter of Evans (GA) Cedar Grove High announced his commitment to Florida State Thursday afternoon.
The 6-foot-0, 170 pounder chose the Seminoles over LSU, Georgia, Auburn, and others.
Carter on why he chose Florida State
“I believe in what coach Norvell is doing at Florida State and I believe coach Dugans will develop me into my best as well as coach Norvell. I know Coach Norvell will push me everyday to be my best. Coach Odell is family and I trust him as well as the rest of the coaching staff so I felt this was the best fit for me.”
Relationship with coaching staff + their plan for Carter
“My relationship is tight with the staff, especially coach Odell. He used to hold me when I was a baby so I believe and trust in him as well as coach Norvell, and we are going to keep growing our relationship as the process moves along. They want me as a ATH depending on how my high school years go, but WR is the main position right now.”
The Georgia wide receiver is the first commitment in the 2026 class for Coach Mike Norvell and the Seminoles.
