Colorado State DL transfer Grady Kelly commits to Florida State
Former Colorado State defensive lineman transfer Grady Kelly has committed to Florida State, he revealed.
“I did commit,” he confirmed. “Yes sir, I’m a ‘Nole.”
The 6-foot-3, 290-pound Kelly burst onto the scene this season for the Rams where he put up 43 tackles — good for seventh on the team — while also recording one sack, recovering one fumble and broke up two passes which earned his Freshman All-America honors from College Football News.
In 2023, Kelly finished the season a with respectable 35 tackles, 6.5 tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks.
Kelly played high school football at Navarre (FL) High School, where he was a three-star prospect. He was the No. 1,659 overall recruit in the 2021 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a proprietary algorithm that compiles ratings and rankings from all four primary recruiting media services.
Kelly will be one piece to the puzzle defensively for head coach Mike Norvell, who will need to find a new leader on that side of the ball with the departure of star EDGE Jared Verse.
