Consensus 5-star safety Kamari Wilson enjoyed Florida State visit
Kamari Wilson was one of the big names visiting Florida State this past weekend for the Seminoles’ game against Miami. Not only was he able to spend some time with his good friend Travis Hunter, but he also got to see Florida State win the rivalry game in dramatic fashion.
Wilson told Noles247 that he really enjoyed his time in Tallahassee, Fla.
“It was a great weekend, just the atmosphere. Going to the game was crazy and I’m definitely coming back,” Wilson said.
Wilson is the No. 27 overall recruit in the country, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is the third-best safety in the nation and four-best player from Florida.
The IMG Academy safety was one of a few five-star talents at Doak Campbell Stadium for the game. On3’s No. 1 overall recruit Marvin Jones Jr. out of Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) American Heritage was at the game, as was Charlestown (Ind.) High five-star offensive tackle and Kentucky commit Kiyaunta Goodwin.
As was Hunter, the No. 1 player in the On3 Consensus and Florida State commit. Wilson said it was good to see his friend again.

“Travis is real cool, we got some jokes,” Wilson said. “He tries to recruit. He recruits harder than the coaches, you know. It was cool.”
Heading into the weekend, Georgia was the favorite for Kamari Wilson
On3’s Chad Simmons wrote before this weekend that Georgia was the favorite for Kamari Wilson, and it has been trending that way for a few weeks.
Whether this weekend’s visit and Wilson’s desire to return to Florida State at some point changes anything remains to be seen.
What doesn’t change is that Wilson is still one of the most sought-after recruits left on the board.
