Hollywood (Fla.) Chaminade-Madonna Prep four-star athlete Edwin Joseph is taking his official visit to Florida State this weekend. It marks his third trip to see the Seminoles and first since Oct. 29.

On Friday night, Joseph had his photo shoot with the program. During it, he wore the Seminoles’ white uniform and held the Florida State spear.

A 6-foot-0, 182-pound recruit, Joseph is the No. 358 overall prospect and No. 11 athlete in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 69 player in Florida.

On3 rates Joseph higher than other recruiting services, according to the Industry Comparison. Per the 2023 On300, he is the No. 269 overall prospect, No. 11 athlete and No. 49 player in Florida.

According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, Miami has a commanding lead for Joseph’s commitment at 93%. He has visited the Hurricanes twice.

RPM was released to the public in December. The On3 engineering group teamed up with Spiny.ai to create the industry’s first algorithm and machine learning-based product to predict where athletes will attend college.

It factors in machine learning, social sentiment, visits and historical trends. However, expert predictions are still a big piece of the RPM equation.

Joseph has an On3 NIL Valuation of $6.7K. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.

Edwin Joseph On3 Scouting Summary

The following is the On3 Scouting Summary for Edwin Joseph:

“Two-way starter at corner and wide receiver whose ball skills shine on both sides of the ball. High point ability and natural hands jump off the screen. Very comfortable pass catcher. Shifty with the ball in his hands who can make tacklers miss in a phone booth. Excellent hip fluidity. Impressive change of direction and ability to stay in phase at corner. See the physicality shine more on offense than defense.

“Tough to bring down as a ball carrier and is a willing tackler but not overly violent or ferocious. Projects as a quality cover corner with excellent ball skills on defense. Strong Z or slot receiver on offense who can paper cut defenses in the intermediate and underneath passing game. On the younger end of the spectrum for the 2023 recruiting class.”
