Milton (Ga.) four-star wide receiver CJ Wiley has committed to Florida State, he announced on Tuesday.

He chose the Seminoles over Georgia and LSU.

Wiley is the No. 116 overall prospect and No. 13 wideout in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 14 player in Georgia.

On3 ranks Wiley much higher than other recruiting services. He checks in at No. 43 overall, No. 6 at WR and No. 6 in the state of Georgia, according to the updated 2025 On300.

FSU was not favored to beat out the pair of SEC programs for the 6-foot-3.75, 210-pounder, but the Seminoles had him on campus over the weekend for his final official visit. Head coach Mike Norvell and Co. made a major impression and ultimately did enough to land the elite pass-catcher.

“I think the biggest thing is the familiarity with some of the staff members,” Wiley’s father Chuck said of what stands out about the Seminoles to On3’s Steve Wiltfong. “They offered CJ in the ninth grade. They’ve been around for a minute. Coach Norvell has been to the school several times. Coach (Alex) Atkins has been to the school a couple times. It’s been a big recruiting effort. Coach (Ron) Dugans has definitely been down there too.”

Wiley is the second blue-chip commitment out of the Peach State for FSU in as many days, as Greensboro (Ga.) Greene County four-star defensive lineman Kevin Wynn, a top-150 recruit, pledged on Monday.

“The program has had a history of winning and if you look at what they had last year the receivers are similar to CJ that had a lot of success. Coach Norvell and the staff have done a great job with the program almost building it from scratch when he first got there,” the elder Wiley said.

The Noles’ class now features six total commitments, headlined by Jacksonville Raines five-star interior offensive lineman Solomon Thomas, the No. 1 IOL in the cycle. The class now ranks No. 15 in the nation and No. 2 in the ACC, according to the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings.
