ESPN broadcast gives update on Florida State's QB plan between Brock Glenn, Luke Kromenhoek
Florida State has had trouble trying to settle on a quarterback this season. Especially after starter DJ Uiagalelei went down with an injury. But they seem to have found some solid progress on Saturday night against Miami with freshman signal-caller Luke Kromenhoek. And at halftime, ESPN sideline reporter Taylor McGregor updated fans on what the Florida State coaches would do moving forward in their quarterback battle between Brock Glenn and Kromenhoek.
“Mike Norvell telling me they will ride with Luke Kromenhoek as well, if he continues to produce the way he did in the first half. They felt like he really had command of the offense when he stepped in there. And as for their defense, really pleased with the way they were able to slow down Cam Ward. But they’d like to see better stopping of the rushing attack. Allowed 109 rushing yards on the ground, missed some assignments,” McGregor noted of her conversation with Norvell.
Late in the game in the third quarter, Taylor McGregor noted how the Florida State offense was rallying around Luke Kromenhoek. “It’s been a group effort amongst Florida State’s offense down here to coach up Luke Kromenhoek on the sidelines. After the previous offensive series, it was Malik Benson who went up to him and he was drawing routes with his finger. Pointing to the different things that he was seeing and the different things he believed that Luke should be looking for,” McGregor explained.
