Florida State coaches congratulate recruit's girlfriend on admission to FAMU

All coaches emphasize family when recruiting. The Florida State coaching staff went above and beyond Wednesday to demonstrate that their focus on family is not just an half-believed adage.
Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) Stranahan consensus three-star linebacker Omar Graham Jr. is a Florida State commit. He has been committed since June, and has not appeared to waver despite the Seminoles struggles to start the season.
Graham’s girlfriend, Leja, posted on social media Wednesday that she was accepted into Florida A&M. Florida A&M is an HBCU that, like Florida State, is located in Tallahassee. She tweeted that it was her dream school and she will be attending next fall, which means she and Graham can live in the same city.
The word reached the Florida State football staff, and they decided to send their congratulations.
The Seminoles created a personalized graphic welcoming here to Tallahassee. Defensive coordinator Adam Fuller, linebackers coach/defensive run game coordinator Chris Marve, wide receivers coach Ron Dugans and senior defense analyst Randy Shannon also reached out to her via text.
The gesture left her speechless.
Graham was also impressed.

He is having an excellent start to his season at Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) Stranahan. The South Florida Sun-Sentinel this past week named him a standout performer for his leadership in the team’s win over Jensen Beach (Fla.) High.
He is the only pure linebacker in the 2022 recruiting class for Florida State. Neptune Beach (Fla.) Duncan U. Fletcher’s Aaron Hester is the only EDGE of the class.
Despite the lack of linebackers, Florida State’s recruiting class is a borderline top-10 class in the country with five-star athlete Travis Hunter headlining the group.
