Florida State DL Dennis Briggs enters NCAA transfer portal
Florida State defensive lineman Dennis Briggs has entered the NCAA transfer portal, On3 has learned.
Briggs appeared in 10 games this season, recording 14 tackles and 1.5 sacks. He also had a pair of quarterback pressures.
Dennis Briggs just wrapped up his sixth season at Florida State. He was rated as a four-star recruit in the class of 2018.
Briggs appeared in four games during his first season with the Seminoles, recording two tackles, a pass breakup and a quarterback hurry.
In 2019, Briggs played in all 13 games and made two starts. He recorded 28 tackles with 3.5 tackles for loss and a sack.
During the COVID year in 2020, Briggs appeared in five games and made three starts. He recorded six tackles and a forced fumble that season.
Briggs had his season cut short in 2021, playing in the first four games and making two starts before being lost for the season with an injury.
He appeared in all 13 games and made three starts in 2022, recording 21 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss and 3 sacks.
