Florida State fan puts out savage anti-D.J. Uiagalelei sign ahead of Clemson game
As DJ Uiagalelei prepared to face his former team, he received from friendly fire from his current school. With Florida State facing Clemson in Week 6, one Seminoles fans wishes the Tigers still had Uiagalelei, who started his career with Clemson.
Photos emerged Saturday of a sign the fan had put outside of their home. It read, “Clemson, while you’re here, take DJ back.”
Uiagalelei began his college career with the Tigers and was the successor to Trevor Lawrence, who led Clemson to a national championship in 2018. He started in both 2021 and 2022 before being benched in the ACC Championship in the latter season, going on to transfer to Oregon State.
He led the Beavers to an 8-5 record before transferring again to Tallahassee this offseason. It’s been a horrific start thus far, as DJ Uiagalelei had thrown for six interceptions to just four touchdowns entering the game against his former team.
So far this season, the Seminoles are off to a 1-4 after finishing the 2023 regular season as undefeated ACC Champions. The poor quarterback play is a big reason to blame for that.

Uiagalelei set out Saturday’s contest with a finger injury. Brock Glenn has started in his place and is so far 13-of-21 passing with 120 yards and one touchdown to one interception.
Florida State currently trails by a score of 23-7 entering the fourth quarter.
Brock Glenn describes help DJ Uiagalelei provides in game preparation
Brock Glenn is on the verge of his third career start, and his first this season. The sophomore quarterback is replacing two-time transfer DJ Uiagalelei, who Florida State head coach Mike Norvell said will likely be out “the next couple of weeks” after Uiagalelei suffered a finger injury in the fourth quarter of a Week 5 loss to SMU.
Even though Uiagalalei is currently sidelined — and even though his FSU chapter has hardly gone according to plan — he’s still supporting Glenn ahead of his start against Clemson, especially in the film room.
“DJ’s been awesome in the film study,” Glenn said Wednesday. “He’s been awesome. He sees the game really clear. And he’s obviously a vet. He’s been in this game for a while, so he knows what to expect, and he knows some tricks here and there to show and help speed up your mind.”
