Tuesday, the ACC became the latest conference to move on from its divisional format in 2023 after the NCAA relaxed its guidelines for conference championships. That means Florida State’s schedule is going to have a new look after this season.

Every ACC team will have three “primary opponents” it will play each year and the other 10 teams will rotate in a four-year cycle. The top two teams at the end of the regular season — based on conference win percentage — will compete in the ACC Championship game on the first Saturday of December.

Florida State’s primary opponents are Clemson, Miami and Syracuse, meaning the Seminoles will play all three teams every year in a home-and-home series.

The ACC joins other conferences to eliminate devision after the NCAA’s decision, including the Pac-12 and Mountain West. But other conferences, such as the Big Ten, haven’t announced decisions as they work out media rights deals. The SEC also hasn’t made a public decision as it gets ready for Texas and Oklahoma to come in from the Big 12 in the near future.

Rumors have swirled that the SEC could go with a similar model to the ACC with primary and rotating opponents. The idea came up during the SEC spring meetings in Destin, but the league didn’t make a decision at the time.

Here are the opponents who will be on Florida State’s schedule from 2023 through 2026.
