Waka Mbatch latest to enter transfer portal

Mbatch was the latest player to enter the transfer portal for Florida State. Guard Chandler Jackson did the same.

Jackson started in just two of the first 60 games he appeared in with the Seminoles. As a junior, he became a regular fixture in the FSU lineup this past season. Jackson started 27 of the 29 games he appeared in during the 2024-25 season, averaging 6.3 points, 2.1 rebounds and 2.0 assists.

He scored in double figures on five occasions, including a 14-point performance during an 82-64 win against Winthrop on Dec. 17. He would go on to score 13 points in another win over Pitt in January, serving as his two highest-scoring performances of this past season.

A Memphis native, Jackson was a four-star recruiting coming out of high school, according to the On3 Industry Rankings, which is a proprietary algorithm that compiles ratings and rankings from all four primary recruiting media services. He was the No. 89 overall player in the 2022 class, and the No. 13 combo guard in his cycle.

Florida State finished this past season with a 17-15 record, including an 8-12 mark against ACC competition. Their season concluded in the first round of the conference tournament earlier this month, losing to Syracuse 66-62.
