Florida State LB DJ Lundy enters NCAA Transfer Portal
Florida State linebacker DJ Lundy officially entered the NCAA Transfer Portal on Wednesday evening, he announced on his Twitter page.
“Nole Nation It’s always been my dream to play at FSU. It’s been a blessing to be able to play at this wonderful University. This decision hasn’t been easy but after much thought and prayer, I’ve decided that it will be the best for my career to enter the transfer portal,” he wrote in his statement on his Twitter page.
The 6-foot-1, 244-pound linebacker has 183 tackles, 16.5 tackles for loss, and one interception in his college football career. In 2023, he racked up 54 tackles and six tackles for loss, to go along with two sacks. In 2022, Lundy tallied 48 tackles, five tackles for loss, and 1.5 sacks.
In high school, he helped guide the Irwin County Indians to a state championship as a senior, rushing for 174 yards in the state title game. A dominant wrestler as well, Lundy won three straight state championships and finished 2019 with an unblemished 36-0 overall record.
When he chose the Seminoles out of high school, he picked them over Georgia and Virginia Tech.
